ON PRINCIPLE FOR NATURE AND PEOPLE

A fair share of responsibility

As a manufacturer, we are not only responsible for satisfying our customers with first-class quality and on-time delivery, but also for protecting, preserving and improving the environment.

Anyone working with large quantities of steel, zinc and hydrochloric acid naturally has to comply with exceptionally strict regulations. This is a responsibility we embrace; but above all, it is one we fulfil out of conviction. Through state-of-the-art environmental facilities and continuous monitoring in our own laboratory, we ensure that all limit values are not only met but, where possible, exceeded.

For our flora

We also attach great importance to creating a pleasant habitat for the animals and insects in our local area. The dozens of trees and shrubs on our premises provide shelter not only for hedgehogs, hares and martens, but also for larger animals such as foxes, roe deer and red deer. In addition, a huge bee pasture was planted in 2018, which is particularly rich in plants that produce nectar and pollen. But it is not only the bees that enjoy the lush flower meadow; butterflies of all kinds are also attracted to the colourful flowers.

For our wildlife

After five of our staff members completed a beekeeping course, we were able to purchase three beehives to help combat the rapid decline in bee populations.

The pond on our company premises, which was newly dredged in 2018, is home to frogs, dragonflies and other insects, and also provides a place for birds to cool off, particularly on hot summer days.

In addition, through our WWF sponsorships, we support the WWF in protecting lynx in Austria and snow leopards. You too can help protect nature and endangered species through a WWF sponsorship:

For our children

Through an annual financial contribution, we support the Bambinis of SV Sparkasse Alkovens and help to inspire the children to take part in sporting activities.

Through our ‘SOS-Dorf’ sponsorship, we support the ‘SOS-Kinderdorf’ in Altmünster. In this way, we not only help to provide the children with food, a bed and clothing, but the ‘SOS-Kinderdorf’ also ensures they have access to toys, can pursue their hobbies and take part in sporting activities, and receive appropriate educational and vocational training.
